图片
I chose two fads from the 1970s, and they were Earth shoes and Gee your hair smells terrific. Earth shoes is a popular shoe band that focuses on using sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. Earth Shoes were designed to promote a natural and healthier way of walking. Wearing the shoes would result in a better posture and help with back pain and breathing. Gee your hair smells terrific is a shampoo popular in the 1970s and popular with people for its attractive scent and advertising. After using this shampoo, not only will you have clean hair, but the fragrant smell will leave a deep impression on those around you.

I have gained a lot of knowledge through learning about culture and cultural identity. If use a very short phrase to express the essence of this unit, I will choose Hot Pot. Hot pot is like a multicultural world, different cultures are like different food. All food can be cooked alone in the pot, and can also be cooked together, but each food is unique and will not be replaced. I learn about culture through reading, watching videos, taking classes, and group discussions. One of the fastest ways for me to learn is to connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I am glad that there are so many different cultures in our class, including Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Mexican, Colombian, Turkish, and so on. I've seen how culture shapes our views and behaviors because I interact with them. For example, when we meet our friends in China, we shake hands, while in Japan, they like to bow. The "aha" moment was when Sophia from Vietnam was sharing her poster wit...

These are the five ideas I wrote on the poster about my country's cultural identity. I come from China. Panda, Chinese Kung Fu, traditional Opera, the Forbidden City and Peking Duck are the most representative characteristics of Chinese culture. First, Panda is a unique species of China and is regarded as the national treasure of China. It has black and white skin and likes to eat bamboo. It is also an important representative of friendship expressed in China's diplomatic activities, besides China, you can also see it in the United States, South Korea, Japan, Russia and other countries. Second, Chinese Kung fu originated in the late Qing Dynasty and is a unique martial art in the world. There are 129 kinds of Chinese kung fu, including Shaolin Kung Fu, Wing Chun and so on. Bruce Lee is a famous Chinese martial arts film actor who starred in many excellent kung fu films, and he is also the founder of Jeet Kune Do in China. Third, Chinese opera is a traditional art of the ...

The first culture shock is that many Americans don't have slippers. Once I invited an American friend to my home, and I prepared slippers for her as soon as she entered the door, but she didn't wear my slippers and walked barefoot. I was confused. I asked her, " Why don't you wear slippers?" She said, "I never wear slippers at home." It's not just her, a lot of Americans don't have either. Chinese people have all kinds of slippers. We have slippers for the living room, slippers for the winter and sippers for the outside. We feel that wearing slippers at home can keep your feet clean or safe, and also keep your feet warm. The second culture shock is hot water and ice water. The first time I went to an American restaurant was in December 2021, and it wa...
