Blog#2: CIP

 

These are the five ideas I wrote on the poster about my country's cultural identity. I come from China. Panda, Chinese Kung Fu, traditional Opera, the Forbidden City and Peking Duck are the most representative characteristics of Chinese culture. First, Panda is a unique species of China and is regarded as the national treasure of China. It has black and white skin and likes to eat bamboo. It is also an important representative of friendship expressed in China's diplomatic activities, besides China, you can also see it in the United States, South Korea, Japan, Russia and other countries. Second, Chinese Kung fu originated in the late Qing Dynasty and is a unique martial art in the world. There are 129 kinds of Chinese kung fu, including Shaolin Kung Fu, Wing Chun and so on. Bruce Lee is a famous Chinese martial arts film actor who starred in many excellent kung fu films, and he is also the founder of Jeet Kune Do in China. Third, Chinese opera is a traditional art of the Chinese nation with a long history. There are many kinds of operas, Peking Opera, Yu Opera, and Huangmei Opera are the most famous ones. Fourth, The Forbidden City in Beijing was the imperial palace of China during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is the largest and most complete surviving ancient structure in the world. It is a good place to understand the historical development and culture of China. Finally, the Peking duck is a famous specialty of Beijing with a world reputation. The skin is crispy and the meat is tender. It’s really delicious.
